Richard J. Giannetti was an Associate Member of the Italian American Police Society of NJ before he started his career in law enforcement and currently serves on the Executive Board.
Giannetti attended the Passaic County Police Academy in 2018 and later started his career in law enforcement as a Passaic County Sheriff’s deputy for six months.
After six months, he returned to the academy in 2022 to complete the Basic Course for police officers.
Giannetti had proudly served as a police officer in North Haledon for the past couple of years, following four years of dedicated service as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer.
His career in law enforcement is built on a strong academic foundation, having earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Currently, he serves as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Eastern Christian High School, where he is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. Giannetti’s experience reflects a deep dedication to community policing, youth engagement, and public safety.
