Joseph Puso began his law enforcement career as a Juvenile Detention Officer at the Morris County Juvenile Detention Center where he ultimately attained the rank of Sergeant. Puso was hired by the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department in July 1999. Puso served in various assignments in the department as a Police Officer. Puso was promoted to Detective and served in the Detective Bureau where he successfully worked on several high-profile cases. Puso was promoted to Sergeant and later Detective Sergeant where he supervised Detectives daily. Puso retired in April 2020 but remains active in his community. Puso was also a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard where he served as a Chaplains Assistant.

Joseph’s hobbies are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, playing the drums in the Police Pipes and Drums of Morris County, and studying Piano. Puso is a long-time member of the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey and its Executive Board. Puso is married and lives with his wife Linda and his daughter Joanna.
