Pasta with vodka sauce
Description of recipie or background of recipie
Ingredients:  (all amounts are approximate - adjust to taste)
2  shallots  -  chopped  (onion can be substituted)
4 - 6  cloves of garlic  -  chopped
1   stick butter
1/4 lb prosciutto  -  thin sliced and chopped
1/4 cup sundried tomatos  -  chopped
4   cups marinara sauce
1   cup heavy cream
1/2 to 1   can low sodium chicken broth / stock  (adjust for consistancy)
1/2  cup of Vodka
1   pinch of salt
red pepper flakes
And of course,  Pasta of your choice
Instructions:
Saute shallots and garlic in butter until softened.  Add prosciutto and continue to cook untill soft.
When prosciutto is soft, add sundried tomatos and saute briefly.
Add marinara sauce,  chicken stock,  cream, salt & pepper and vodka.
Cook until sauce is Hot,  then lower heat and simmer for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour untill all ingredients are well blended..
Pour over cooked pasta
